Anybody watching this? A while ago Sree and Freddie (Halfwit) had a discussion, and Sree made fun of Freddie being dyslexic. Freddie has mentioned being dyslexic, and having 'number dyslexia'. I have no idea if he knows that dyscalculia exists.

Sree said: "Personallyme, I respect that you are dyslexic and got into Oxford BUT WHAT ARE 15 15's? [short pause], excactly...."

Freddie didn't reply, but looked confused/sad/angry or something like that.

(Sree is Indian, so that's the reason for his not so correct English)

Just wondering if anybody else noticed this... Oh I found an article;

From the DS News
Wow so they are going to investigate the alleged 'bullying 'of Freddie by Sree. That means that there have been many complaints for them to consider doing this.

Big Brother investigating 'bully' Sree
Day 31, 11:40 BST

By Polly Taylor

WENN
Big Brother producers are launching an investigation into allegations that recently evicted housemate Sree was a bully, reports the Daily Star.

According to the newspaper, the Indian student upset viewers when he mocked Freddie's learning difficulties during an argument.

When Freddie asked Sree to use less garlic, Sree shouted: "You're a dyslexic student from Oxford - what's 15 times 15?"

He also branded him a "madman" and an "idiot".

Channel 4 reportedly received a number of complaints about the comments and are due to launch an investigation into alleged bullying.

Sree was last night the fourth official housemate to be evicted from the house.

On tonights show Freddie read the number 300.000 as thirty thousand in a "The price is right"-game, so I think yes, he's dyscalculic.

Ps. Do not tell anyone I watch Big Brother. It is my guilty pleasure hehehe. Sorry. Normally, I'm very, very picky.

I have not really been following it but i know who is who, perhaps its worth me emailing channel four and i know they pass comments to the production team?? What do you think??

Hi jus' yeh it's a show where they stick a group of diverse people in a house together with no contact to the real world and see what happens... They also sre set tasks to mix things up a bit.

Ok channel four have a form you can film in with information they will send to the production team- what do you think to sending them something like this...?

Hi i am part of a Dyscalculia group and we believe Freddie (Halfwit) could have Dyscalculia as well as his Dyslexia which is a little known learning difficulty although believed to be just as prominent as Dyslexia- (the two do overlap as well) unfortunately here in the UK it is not well known even though it has been recognised by WHO for many years- I understand this is a strange request but perhaps you could pass this information on to him after the show.
(I am not qualified to diagnose, just a point of contact for a discussion group on the subject)

Dear tr3slunas,
That's good content. Please forgive me for offering to 'tweak' the grammar, punctuation, and wording a little, since it's for the media. Keep what you like and ignore the rest. What you've said is fine. - jus'

That's good. I think we should add that "This is just to let him know about dyscalculia. We are not selling anything - just spreading the word about dyscalculia".

This is a great idea, (I know nothing about this show however) can you imagine the education viewers would get if this was mentioned on the show?. Do the others on the show call this guy "Halfwit" ? Awfully cruel.

Long story short, Freddie had to change his name in order to stay in the house. A girl named Sophie had to change her name to Dogface. Yeah ehm... Dunno how to explain. That's just how the game works, hehe.

Just watched a clip from the current US version of Big Brother. I don't watch the show, just found it by luck?

Anyway, there's a girl named Jordan who was talking about not being able to tell time. The other guys are making fun of her, trying to teach her what a quarter is in time, but she confuses a quarter with a quarter of 100, instead of 60. Here's the clip;

Jordan and Jeff are lying on the bed talking when Jordan reveals she can't handle time on a clock. She basically doesn't know what 'quarter till' means. Jeff tries to educate her. He asks her how many quarters are in an hour. She says 25. He then asks her how many minutes are in an hour. She actually knows the answer is 60. So, he asks her how many quarters make up an hour. She says 25 again. Hoping to help her, he tells her that she needs to divide 60 minutes by 4. But asking her to do division only makes things worse. Jeff breaks things down further. He asks her what is half of 60. She says 30. Then he ask what is half of 30. She says 15. So, he asks again, how many quarters are in an hour. She still doesn't know. The segment mercifully ends.

Hmm!

Hiya

Yep I've watching Big Brother and have read stuff on Digital spy about Sree apparently, he's been released from hospital after self harming himself with a knife, the whole experience of BB10 has overwhelmed him.

I personally think Freddie will win. I also think he's bright and probably knows dyscalculia exists.

I actually saw that one part, I was flipping throught the channels, saw the show and was trying figure if it was the same show you have been writting about (is it? ) I think, ( my apologies to her) she might just be kid of dumb.
In the states they call it "being blonde" In reality it is just that SOME, only a few really, pretty girls don't bother to learn a darn thing because they don't think it's needed or important.

Someone told me yesterday that I was "just another stupid girl," and if I hadn't been pulling "this learning disability CRAP" U of M wouldn't have accepted me, "and rightly so!"

I dunno, I've never seen any of the show besides that clip, but her way of explaining why she can't tell time is pretty much exactly how I try to explain it. And when she sits up she's trying to draw out the numbers in the air, which implies to me she can't just visualize them like everyone else apparently can. I obviously don't know one way or the other, admittedly she doesn't seem like the brightest crayon in the box, but I could also see acting like you're stupid being a pretty reasonable defense mechanism-- I am beginning to believe it would be a LOT easier than trying to convince people I'm not a total idiot.

I certainly would rather not think she , or anyone else was dumb, and I really don't think, based on the little I saw was that she is. I often fear that instead of having LDs I am just simply dumb and the people who told me that I did have LDs were just wrong.
I know several people who are not dumb but just did very little in school and now suffer. The American school system let them down. They didn't want to study and the school let it happen that way. I was speaking to a young girl a short time ago about WWII ( yeah, I know what chicks like to talk about Wink ) during the conversation she asked " Who were we fighting?" and "We won, right? " Now she is not a stupid person, but somehow got through school with out knowing that we ( the US ) fought against Hawaii in WWII and now own it. Jeez.
