Hi everyone

This is one for our dyscalculia group can any one tell me does Australia celebrate a day before or the day after you guys? can never remember - I think I am before - so does that mean I can face book or twitter early or later? - Well just.... Count Me In!!for all the celebrations - (sorry couldn't help but say it). How many candles on the cakes do we put incidently!!?

Cheers from down under!

Dear Kathy,
Yes, you are 'ahead' of me. It's two minutes 'til 7 am for me,... just waking up here in Texas. The way that I count it, so that it makes sense to my brain, is to say to myself '7am in Texas' to '7pm in Australia', and then I add three or four hours to that number, depending on which side of Australia I'm trying to figure. So, [7am] 'my time', in Dallas, TX, is [7pm, plus 4, equals 11pm] 'your time', in Brisbane, Queensland. My morning daytime is starting as your day is ending. I'm not much good at doing this in the 'reverse'. That is to say, it's more difficult for me to know 'your time' and then figure out what 'my time' is at that time. So, I sometimes turn to the World Clock site. Click on Time Zone Converter, bottom of left column. When 'Dallas' doesn't appear, you can choose 'Chicago', as Chicago is in the same time zone as Dallas. Enjoy. - jus'

But Dyscalculia Day is March 3 no matter where you are! So it's just from 12 to 12, wherever you are!

If Kathy shoots off some beautiful fireworks at her '10Pm' March 3rd, I'll tip toe to see them, but where I'm at it will only be 6 o'clock in the morning. - jus'

I was just getting back to the point about 'which parts of our day' will overlap on the date of dyscalculia day, between AU and US. It was a joke about standing 'tip toe' to see the fireworks, not a complaint. - jus'
