I've just discovered another quirky thing my brain does when playing games. For my daughters birthday we bought her some Wii games, I started off really well with bowling - then like magic my brain seemed to switch off and no matter how hard I tried to do the movement as in the action of bowlng the ball- I couldn't seem to get it, in fact I started bowling backwards - or dropping the ball too early and a lot of other strange antics, of course my son, his girlfriend my daughter and her boyfriend thought it was a great joke! I thought it was funny too in the beginning and then I started getting really frustrated - no matter how patiently my poor husband Brad showed me I seemed to not get it, my son said "Mum your doing it for attention! - you did it fine to start with!" and then of course i felt that so familiar embarressment feeling. I said I didn't want to play any more. Perhaps as your brain gets tired - your co-ordination gets far worse than others? As for guitar hero, following that is a nightmare - I can't seem to get the left and right Together - then again I have always had trouble with reading music and especially my left hand. Oh well, just another day in my little dyscalculic world . P.S. any suggestions greatly appreciated - love to play my kids again and beat them!! I don't think practise makes perfect if in my case I simply get worse the more I play - maybe choose non sport games!!LOL Cheers for now.Kathy

You might try not swinging your arm back at all, just slowly whip it forward. The bowling game is kinda tricky for starters. I also have a wii with bowling and I also know all too well that feeling of humiliation when people think you're just trying to get attention. People who can't relate to you will never understand. Hang in there and maybe practice when you get the time whether your family is home or not. I also have problems with being coordinated in some tasks, but hang in there!! Cool You might try more artistic games or there is this super awesome thing you can buy over the internet that is called the: Neocube. It is a cube composed of 216 magnetic spheres and supposedly you can create over a million designs with it. Also it is said to be a great stress reliever AND have dual brain hemispherical stimulation! So in other words its working your creative side of the brain AND your technical mathmatical side of the brain @ the same time!!!! I just ordered one because they look so fun!! Look it up on youtube they are Awesome!! Good luck!Grin
