Preferred methods for teaching math

This is my second question in 10 minutes - can you tell I'm new to the forum? When my daughter was diagnosed with Dyscalculia as she wrapped up third grade, we were told that she was doing the equivalent of a first and second grader in math. We've got a tutor one day a week who is focusing on fundamental skills before she digs into math. Is there a preferred math method that I could help my daughter supplement along with her daily school routine? Something we can work on together in the evenings? books, games, mathematic tools or methods? anything? thanks! |

I'm wondering just 'where she is' in math. She can count, right? And, has she figured out how to use her fingers to add and subtract? - jus' |
