I know. This isn't 'my' hidden talent. But I just didn't want to put this video on the Shoutbox where it might get buried very soon. We've got musicians here on this forum and I wanted everyone to get to see the ingenuity of this maker of musical instruments in Mexico.

The school children didn't have instruments. They needed violins. This local artisan offered a violin made of recycled materials. At first, everyone laughed at it. But then one man said, "No, this really could 'work'!". Then, they all realized that the violin worked just fine. The children can play the same music on these instruments as children who have traditional musical instruments. I just 'had' to show you all this video. - jus'

wonderful what people can do with recycled things to bring happiness through music ! I loved the idea that with few means people could discover the great pleasure of playing an instrument !
Muchas gracias por el video, jus, me ha encantado !!!

One of my classmates in a Spanish class was taking up a collection, through the college, of money to send to Mexico to one of those little rag-tag music groups. I support the 'idea', but sadly, right while I'm trying to survive and graduate isn't the best time to ask me for money. She gave a 'pep talk' about how these kids live right where all the gang wars are going on, and that playing musci will keep them off the streets and safer than they would have been. - jus'

They sound cool, musically speaking. It brings a new element to the folk music they were playing.
I'm NOT lost, I'm just taking the scenic rout!
