I have just been reading the thread regarding a chat room. The last entry was a year ago last January and I wondered if anything ever came of the idea? Personally I would welcome it (if I could ever figure out how to do it). Does anyone know if there is there a consensus of members who want it, and if there is, will it happen?

I think a chat room would be a great addition to the forum, for what it's worth. Smile I guess the admins would be the one to decide if we should and/or can have one, and where, how (or if) it would be moderated, etc.

I think the conclusion reached from the last thread on the subject is that there would have to be a moderator to keep spam out, which would mean the Admin would never get any sleep. This lead to the idea fizzling out.

Actually, I'm afraid that I was the one who said that, Squeaky? But Admin was actually helpful about it. I guess they 'trust us'? Whoever wants to try out a Chat Room, please go ahead and send a Private Message to Admin asking for particulars. - jus'

It seems that our Chatroom has been a well kept secret?
But maybe it's time to start making use of it?
If you look under the Navigation column on the left <-, then you should see chatroom?
I think you can all see it, though I'm signed in as Admin, so I can't be sure?
I just posted something there, so if you can see it?
Then click on it, and try posting a reply?
It's a very basic chatroom, but it hasn't been updated for a few years. So a better version might be available now?

Though it is something that I think we could make better use of?
But no one knows that it is there?
I think that I might add a permanent thread under Dyscalculia Chat, to remind people?
Though this could also be used to arrange times for chats?
Where group chats could be arranged?

eoffg, I am unable to see the chatroom. A permanent link sounds like a good idea.
