Hello,
I was recently diagnosed and am in desparate need of help! I will be taking my real estate exam in a couple of weeks and I know I won't pass the math portion without some sort of accommodation, I can take a calculator but I'm not sure what help to ask for. There are so many story problems involving algebra... Help!!
Thanks,
Andrea

You would have to ask for accommodations when you registered for your exam. I'm not sure if there's much you can do at this point, except study. I'm taking my exam to get into the Ed. dept. at my school, so I feel your pain, however, I was able to ask for accommodations when I registered.

I am able to ask for accommodations but I'm just trying to figure out what to ask for since I have never done this before. It makes me sick to my stomach thinking of the math portion. Thankfully they give you a long time to take each section and I can whip through the rest of it. That's one bonus of dyscalculia I guess... I am a very fast reader :-)
Back to studying!!! Thanks :-)

If you can still request them, ask for extended time, a formula sheet, and possibly a more advanced calculator (one able to do more functions). Good luck.

Hi schwabiewife. I'm probably 'too late' to be of any help now. But there have even been circumstances where a dyscalculic student has been given a sheet of formulas,... yes, an approved cheat-sheet,... to take into the testing room. - jus'
