Thanks to both of you. It's starting to make sense. What I'm connecting it to at the moment is the (many) times that I've gone through training for a new job. I 'max out' and need more time to reflect on what I've learned than my classmates do. Also, running through a procedure once quickly, under pressure and under scrutiny, on a computer just isn't enough "practice" for me to get out there and start taking calls with live people and doing the job. Evidently, some people can do this. Evidently, many people can do this. But twice, I've been eliminated from jobs that I could have done, had the 'training' allowed me the time to learn the moves. It's 'their' business how they train new employees. I have no control over that. It's just sad that they have no flexibility during the training phase. Truth be known, these aren't my favorite jobs anyway. Thanks again. - jus'
