I was just researching the net about Dyscalculia - Math LD. Does anyone know how I can outside testing for this in Texas? Does a doctor diagnose this? Who specifically? My 12 yr. old daughter consistently gets a 70 in math (D) and barely passed her TAKS test (standardized test). The school district is only concerned about that TAKS test and meeting their quotas. They are not concerned with getting a child diagnosed with an LD.
They do accept outside test results and I would like to get tests done with professionals outside of school. If anyone has any info please let me know. Thanks so much.
