wanna reply to your whole post but just quick short note about the 9/11 part because it so familar- I understand about wanting to "bring everybody along" ....I was at home that day and hubby had taken the only vehicle we had at time to work and he called me on the road and said - you better turn on tv, something big is happening- and so, I did and, being unable to go anywhere, was just horribly riveted to the news all day- and I didn't want to leave my dogs alone. I sat on the couch and just hugged and hugged them. It was all eerie, yes. And it was SOOOOO quiet...no cars going by, no people out walking, no stereos playing on our circle <cul de sac>, no kids ......and we had dog training that night. People wasn't sure it was going on but we drove there anyway. I wanted to take both dogs although the class was just for one of the dogs. And I kept calling all the people I knew; I remember it just like it was more recent than it is.
