Rottie - That's interesting to me, that your Geology class had a lot of math in it. Mine had virtually none. It was a very basic 1000-level class though, intended for non-science majors. It was jokingly called "Rocks for Jocks" because all of the student athletes take the class to fulfill part of their physical science requirements, since it's such an easy class. I guess it just goes to show that the ease of a class isn't totally dependent on subject matter, but also on where you take it and who teaches it.
My professor for my Geology class told us on day one, "I don't want to fail anyone, I know you don't like Geology and this isn't your thing, you're just taking this class because you have to. I want you to get A's, I don't care if I give an A to every person in this class. Hopefully you enjoy it, but if not, then at least I hope it will be easy for you." I figure if a professor's first lecture is about how easy he wants his class to be, that's the kind of class I want to be in!
