This video on YouTube is from 1997,... not particularly 'cutting-edge',... but its part of our required viewing for my Second Language Acquisition class this summer. Enjoy. - jus'
Child First Language Acquisition:
"Dr. J. Steven Reznick is Professor of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Reznick is primarily interested in infant memory, how memory changes over the first few years of life, and how these changes alter the infant and the infant’s environment. Within the broad palette of infant memory abilities, he is particularly interested in short-term ‘working memory’, and aspects of long term memory such as deferred imitation, rule learning, and word comprehension."

Here's a website about world languages that are disappearing. What could this possibly have to do with dyscalculia? Well,.... hmmm,... I guess there are dyscalculics hiding in remote little spots, speaking a language that few others speak or understand. Anyway, I like the looks of this site and want to save the link here to this forum. We're all a bunch of word-lovers here, aren't we? - jus'

That reminds me of an article I read about Icelandic and how it was disappearing.
wow, I'd never heard of some of those...did you see any that you thought you'd especially like to learn?

Thanks for asking, RW. I'm actually trying to choose what Masters I might like to begin, and Linguistics is one of those possible choices. - jus'

Here's a Texas-made video about learning Languages Other Than English. I found it (of all things) while looking at an Australian Education site! http://www.sedl.o...ts/videos/
Several of the teachers in the interview are in the Richardson ISD (Independent School District). This is in North Dallas. Enjoy. - jus'
