I've always had a fear of mental math, especially in front of people. It makes my life very hard because I work in a numbers oriented field.
I do better alone, and even better when I have a calculator or MS Excel. Take those away and I'm in trouble. Take away my tools, and put me on the spot in a meeting and I'm crippled doing even the simplest arithmetic. |
